Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated, "The Russian president invited the US president to Moscow and expressed his willingness to host US officials in Russia on areas of mutual interest, especially the issue of Ukraine."

Both leaders agreed to continue their dialogue and plan an in-person meeting, signaling a possible thaw in the strained US-Russia negotiations.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump confirmed the conversation, stating, "We have agreed for our teams to begin negotiations immediately to end the war in Ukraine."

 He also mentioned plans to brief Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the discussion, emphasizing the importance of international diplomacy in resolving the conflict.
